SNOW
It's funny waking up to the warm feeling of grass around you. Not because the grass tickles the child inside you that used to play in it, but because its snowing and it surrounds you.
The ground I was laying in was covered in green grass and the rest of the world was shrouded in snow. My only explanation was that my body may have melted it because I was having some sort of fever. But why would the grass be green. Wouldn't it be brown from winters cold?
It was at this time I realized I had no memory of how I had got there, and much more frightening, who I was. I took a moment to breathe, and decided to figure out where I was. I was in a field surrounded by trees in every direction, there were no foot prints in the snow so I must have been here awhile. Nothing was ringing any bells.
I was wearing pajama pants, running shoes and a black sweatshirt with no shirt underneath. The questions just kept piling up in my mind. At that instant i heard a train in the distance, that meant civilization was near, maybe a train station or better yet a town. I had a plan now, I like plans.
I started running towards the sound of the horn. I was surprised to find that I felt good, refreshed, like I had just woke up from a long nap. Hopefully whatever I find will lead me to answers of my past, or perhaps even my future.
